Iranian Concepts of Liberty and Law in Comparative Perspectives

 

Dr. Homa Katouzian is is Iran Heritage Research Fellow, St. Antony’s College, and Member, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Oxford. A social scientist, historian, literary critic and poet, he is the author of numerous publications in English and Farsi including The Persians: Ancient, Mediaeval and Modern Iran (Yale University Press, 2009), Iran in the 21st Century (Routledge, 2008), and State and Society in Iran (I.B. Tauris, 2006).

 

Katouzian’s latest publication, The Persians, is termed “awe-inspiring in its scope and scholarly reach,” by The Scotsman and “required holiday reading in the Foreign Office, and maybe the White  House too,” by Stephen Howe of Independent.
